The best viewpoints of the falls are from a small platform near the entrance, and visitors can get up close by walking down to the base. It’s an excellent spot for a quick stop or a picnic, with the cool breeze and lush surroundings adding to its charm.
Bopath Falls is located approximately 115 km south of Colombo and around 25 km from Matara, making it a convenient stop on a journey to the southern coast of Sri Lanka. The falls are particularly stunning during the rainy season when the water flow is strongest, but they can be visited year-round.
